About our Family
Good Time Design is an all-encompassing hospitality and entertainment group based in Nashville, Tennessee and San Diego, California. Created in 2006 by businessman and hospitality entrepreneur, Ty Hauter, the company has rapidly grown to own and operate numerous unique establishments in Southern California and Tennessee. Good Time Design’s portfolio includes diverse restaurants, bars and live music venues including current San Diego heavy-hitters Moonshine Flats, Moonshine Beach and Happy Does, as well as Nashville’s newest hot spot, Odie’s.
Proud members of both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, GTD and Hauter actively champion the songwriter community through hands-on artist development and dynamic entertainment programming across their venues nationwide. Nicknamed, “the Nashville of the West,” all GTD’s West Coast venues’ live music programs are largely composed of Nashville-based up-and-comers with large scale national acts sprinkled through. We are committed to maintaining the authenticity and heart of country music, and matching our production value to the level of talent we bring to our stage every single week.
In addition to providing full service hospitality support (Accounting, Private Events, Human Resources, Design-Build, Marketing & Branding), Good Time Design has cultivated numerous brand partnerships with entertainment agencies like Red Light Management and The 10:10 Creative, professional sports teams, radio stations and country music festivals like Stagecoach and Boots In The Park. Other collaborations include “Buena Cerveza” Mexican Lager, Gaucho Premium Rum, Hooch Brothers Vodka, and most recently Holler & Swaller Hard Tea, which hit the Southern California market last year.
Most recently, Ty and Good Time Design have further cemented their presence in Tennessee with the opening of Odie’s, a partnership with CMA and ACM Award–winning band Old Dominion. In the same year, Hauter was recognized as one of the Nashville Business Journal’s Power 100 Trendsetters for his pivotal role in the resurgence of Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood, opening two venues in 2025 with a third on the way in early 2026. In addition, the group just announced a big move into the Las Vegas market with an expansion of flagship venue, Moonshine Flats, landing at Durango Resort in 2027.
